Victoria Estacio Huckins' work is the accumulation of random thoughts and ideas mixed together in her mind and expressed on a surface such as canvas, board or paper.

Victoria doesn’t have a preconceived image when she  begins any new painting.  The first layer of the of most new pieces starts with an application of texture paste to relieve the surface of its flatness.  Visions of colors formulate and they are immediately applied…the work does not stay white for long.  As the process takes place, Victoria becomes reactive to what is happening to the piece.  Shapes are appearing and ideas are formed and all start to play.

A variety of mediums and tools including but not limited to acrylics and oil paints, paper, paste, pen and ink, oil pastels and stencils are used hence the her work are mixed media.

Victoria also designs and creates her own stencils and papers.   Her interests are eclectic and it appears in her work.
